Technical issues combined with my absence due to work commitments have culminated in the posts not being published as per usual.

The issue has now been fixed and so normal service will resume on Monday.

There is something beautiful about the make-up compact. Images of imacculately dressed women using the mirror to check their make-up and pressing a powder puff to their noses hark back to the days of true glamour. Although today we do not rely on a compact in the same way, pressed powder is still ever present and be it translucent, no-colour (there is a difference) or tinted, is a vital part of any Make-up Artists kit.

International Women's Day 2013

Today, March 8th is International Women's Day, an annual event observed since the early 1900s. This year the theme is The Gender Agenda - celebrating the achievements of women and continuing to support and encourage equality.

 

But how does this relate to make-up and beauty...?

 

Top Five: Fuchsia Lips

Bright, bold lips of all colours are a key look this spring. There is such a beautiful spectrum of natural and organic lipsticks out there now that I really couldn't decide which colours to pick, so plumped for the vibrant fuchsia pinks.

Fairtrade Fortnight 2013

Monday marked the beginning of this years Fairtrade Fortnight (25th February - 10th March), an annual event held by the Fairtrade Foundation. In last years post I discussed the role of the Foundation and how they help farmers and producers globally - this year, for me its all about fairly traded beauty.
