Today, March 8th is International Women's Day, an annual event observed since the early 1900s. This year the theme is The Gender Agenda - celebrating the achievements of women and continuing to support and encourage equality.
But how does this relate to make-up and beauty...?
To celebrate International Women's Day, organic health and beauty company Neals Yard Remedies are donating 10% of their daily sales to Women for Women International (WfWI). This generous donation supports the work of the organisation who are helping women survivors of war rebuild their lives.
WfWI are a not for profit organisation working with socially excluded women in eight countries (including Afghanistan, Rwanda and Kosovo) where war and conflict have destroyed lives and communities. These women enrole on a one-year program and thanks to WfWI, to learn business and job skills, enabling them to earn a living and support themselves.
