Fairtrade Fortnight 2014

In case it has escaped your notice, we are in the midst of this years Fairtrade Fortnight, an annual event held by The Fairtrade Foundation (the UK division of Fairtrade International). 

The Foundation is a certification scheme whose purpose is to tackle poverty by supporting farmers and workers around the world; working to improve their quality of life and to help them have more control over their futures by helping them have a greater involvement in the supply chain. Each year the Foundation have a different focus, so what's happening this year..?

I love rediscovering products; products found loitering at the bottom of my kit bag that haven't been played with for a little while. Once spotted they are given a new lease of life and re-loved. This post is about one of those rediscoveries, a product that once I used a lot but had fallen unintentionally by the wayside, only to be re-found and now re-incorporated into my kit.

Top Five: Blacks

Like a bad penny it keeps coming back. From solid blocks of colour and inverse half moons to chequer board effects and fine typography; Black nail polish has been seen everywhere this season. I personally (and I can almost hear my Mother groaning when I say this) am a big fan of black polish, the blacker the better in my mind - although I am partial to a little metallic infusion from time to time...
