Love: Merry-Go-Round Lashes

This month I am in love with the recently released Merry-Go-Round false lashes from the paper cutting genii at Paperself

With echoes of childhood holidays on the beach, trips to the fairground and fantastical fairytales of unicorns and magical adventures, the Merry-Go-Round lashes will have you drifting on a nostaligic trip down memory lane. These intricately cut lashes depict tiny silhouettes of vintage carousels, hot air balloons and rocking horses that look as if they have been whisked straight from a victorian playroom.

I have to admit that there hasn't been a Paperself design that I haven't liked as yet but these are definitely amongst my favourites so far.

If you haven't come across Paperself lashes before but they seem a little familiar then it may be because they have recently been seen being sported by Elizabeth Banks' eccentric character Effie Trinket in the recent film adaptation of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

As the name suggests, the lashes are made of paper and can be worn as a strip or cut up and customised, so if you feel that wearing the whole lash may not be for you then simply pick the elements that take your fancy - sometimes less is more! I incorporated small elements of the Spider lash set into my Halloween make-up last year rather than using the whole strip.

Paperself kindly sent me a set of these lashes at the end of last week and I am already flooded with creative ideas as to how to use them in make-ups. I will definitely be sharing images once some of these ideas have been put play so keep an eye on the blog.

Have you tried the Paperself lashes? Why not hop on for a ride?
