Essential Care Black Eyeliner Pencil

I had complely forgotten about this pencil. It has been sitting in the smaller portable kit that I transport around the country (climb ladders and balance on gantrys with) for a certain broadcast client for ages, poised for those just-in-case moments, but until we began using a female presenter on a fairly regular basis back in September, I'd on whole had little need for it.
Saying I'd completely forgotten about this pencil is a touch untrue. I've had a couple of these pencils over the years; always having one in my pencil roll and on occasion, another in my personal make-up bag. So, When I say forgotten I actually mean forgotten how good it is.

With it's soft, deep and inky black pigment the Essential Care Eye Liner is surely a must have for your make-up bag and is a great choice for those making the transition to a greener kit; easy to apply and easy to wear, plus it has great green credentials.

Not the creamiest of organic eye pencils (that prize would [off the top of my head] probably have to go to Inika or Benecos) but the texture is lovely and the liner itself; fairly soft (but not too soft). Unlike some eyeliner pencils (naming no names of course), there is no scratching or dragging on application and it doesn't take much to get it to soften up in colder weather - that said it keeps it's point pretty well on warmer days.

Applied to the lash line it stays in place well and can be blended down to soften the line whilst on the water-line, it doesn't have such great colour payoff but it does last reasonably well. The pencil also makes a great base for liquid liners; an old make-up trick for intensifying the colour of a liquid liner and to improve wear and help to hide that irritating cracking that so often occurs.

If you are looking for a product for effects or you just fancy rockin' a Marilyn Manson vibe, it makes for a great lip liner too :)
