From time to time I mention how I rediscover a product in my kit that has been overlooked for for too long. This post is all about one such product.
Nudist Colorbalm Stick 7 (née Nudist Lip Shine) by W3ll People
One of the first W3ll People products that I purchased, I found this little tube of goodness languishing in the bottom of my lip bag recently and decided it was high time it was re-commissioned.
Kind of a lipstick/balm hybrid; Nudist 7 combines a (very) subtle hint of colour with a high sheen and richly moisturising finish.
Nudist 7 is most definitely nude. A pinky toned nude with slight blueish undertones that, despite it's somewhat infuring title, has very little colour giving properties - the merest hint; the other sticks in the range (of which there are 6) do have a little more pigment. With a high shine finish that has a very slight frosted appearance, Nudist is long lasting and works well both on its own or layered over another product.
Rich in rosehip oil which contains essential fatty acids, Nudist hydrates the lips whilst nourishing and soothing them with chamomile and healing aloe, whilst Mica and omega oils provide the shine.
There is a slight scent to the colourstick that is described as a vanilla mint, although I find it (like most of the other W3ll People products) is more a general herbally scent - not unpleasant but definitely healthy smelling!
The image above depicts my own Nudist 7 in the original packaging, however the company recently redesigned their packaging to a sleek white. Worth noting if you hunting for this online!
I have used Nudist 7 on everything from corporates to bridal make-ups. It is pretty high sheen so when using it on camera I tend to go easy on the application.
W3LL People (pronounced Well) was established in the US by three passionate individuals: a Make-up Artist, a Dermatologist and a self confessed environmentalist, the aim being to produce a completely toxin and cruelty free range. The W3LL People approach to beauty is simple and they successfully combine science and beauty with social and environmental responsibilities.
I have featured W3ll People in numerous posts over the past couple of years, read all about the Universalist Colourstick and Realist X Loose Powder, whilst Behind The Brand goes behind the scenes to find out more about the company.
