It's been a busy couple of months so I have been doing quite a bit of replenishing of my kit. Some of the bits and pieces I picked up were to restock old favourites, whilst others were complexity new additions. It's been a while since I shared the new additions to my kit, so here we are... (Apologies in advance for the different settings in the photos)
Prompted by a horrifying realisation that my lipstick supplies were rapidly dwindling, I set about placing an order with Couleur caramel. One of my go-to brands for lips and eyes, Couleur Caramel have a fabulous range of lipsticks which are long lasting and have great pigments.
I picked up the following: #260 Coral, #263 Deep Red, #204 Rosy Red, #264 Kiss Red and #265 Naturel Romantique. The latter two are part of the new Autumn/Winter 2014 collection which was the focus of a recent post.
In addition to this I ordered the four eyeshadow refills from the new collection (#156 Midnight Blue*, #155 Night Sky, #153 Beige Glow and #154 Pink Glamour), the new brow kit and the #64 Rose Amour blush. I also repurchased a tube of Smoothing Velvet Primer and a new bottle of the Black Liquid Liner.
Next on the list were a couple more bottles of the Nvey Eco Moisture Rich Fluid Foundation (in Custard and Cool Ivory) and yet another tube of the iconic Skin Food from Weleda. I also received an SOS body lotion as a free gift with my order.
With the need to restock my lipstick collection heavy on my mind I squeezed in a little shopping in the mecca of organic beauty stores Content. The divine lip colours from Ilia Beauty were my focus; the beautifully nude Humble Me and the fiery Wild Child.
With another trip to New York in the bag, my twice yearly request for products was fulfilled once again by my long suffering relative. Unfortunately this visit to Sephora was a little less fruitful than previous ones as many of the products I requested from the Soho store were out of stock. I now however have another addition to my Bite Beauty High Pigment Pencil collection; Zinfandel* - a beautiful matte electric coral.
I was kindly sent a PR sample of the new Goddess Eye Pencil in Lazuli Blue from the Australian natural eye make-up line Eye Of Horus. I have yet to try this out however it's waterproof formulation is definitely something I am interested in putting to the test! Water-shoots do crop up from time to time so finding natural alternatives to traditional brands which withstand these conditions is a must!
In addition to this I also received both the Souk Souk October Beauty Box and the Beautiful World Autumn/Winter '14 sampler box. Both of these boxes contained a variety of skincare products so of which may or may not make it into my kit.
I hadn't realised the list was quite so extensive until this point!
