Behind The Brand: Priti NYC

As we know it is currently impossible for nail polish to be organic, however there are an ever growing number of brands available on the market that have been created without the carcinogenic nasties found in traditional polishes. One of my favourites amongst the non-toxic ranges has to be Priti NYC.

I am a huge fan of Priti NYC nail polishes. There is a fantastic spectrum of shades (well over 100 in total), which include rich reds, metallics, nudes, neon's and mattes. This delightful collection, entitled Priti Flowers, are available in 12ml recycled glass bottles and a number of the shades are also produced in the Priti Flowers Mini range; housed in a handy 9ml bottle - perfect for keeping the weight down in your kit!

The Priti NYC collection are from the big three known carcinogens; toluene, formaldehyde and dibutyl phthalate (DHB) and are suitable for vegans. Due to their toxin free nature, they are safe to use during pregnancy and on children - in fact, they have also launched Priti NYC Princess; a range of 8ml mini bottles perfect for tiny hands!
Fast drying and chip resistant, the polish tends to last around 3-4 days (depending on what you are doing) but longer if you use a base and top coat. Priti polishes contain a UV inhibitor to ensure that the colour remains glossy and durable.
An idea formed during her pregnancy, Priti NYC was launched in 2005 by Kim D'Amato with one simple mission; to support organic farmers and decrease the amount of chemicals poisoning the earth and it's inhabitants, one manicure at a time. Priti (meaning happy and affection in Sanskrit) is completely cruelty free and vegan friendly.
