Plummy

Last months post on my Top Five Metallic Eyeliners was definitely inspired by this next product. A liquid liner that has seen much use of late and is always one of the first liners I go to if I want something a little more special than the traditional blacks and browns...

Couleur Caramel Liquid Liner in Plum (no.2)

A great twist on a conventional brown liquid liner, Plum is a flattering, slightly purple-y toned metallic brown that looks great on all everyone but utterly amazing on green eyes. The metallic finish isn't particularly intense (it's more of a slight sheen) and so is a great liner for everyday office (or other dress-code strict establishment) wear. It doesn't cause flashback on camera which is something that can happen with metallic shades.
The liner is reasonably long lasting although it will crack up a bit after a while. I have used this on bridal, photographic and beauty work and the colour alone gets lots of love every time. If you are using it for bridal work do be aware that it isn't waterproof and so will run if subjected to a particularly teary bride!
Although I usually apply the liner with a separate liner brush, the applicator is pretty good as far as liquid liner applicators go. The long handle makes it easy to hold whilst not being too unwieldy and the felt-tip style tip is flexible so despite its relative stubbiness, it is easy to apply the liner and adjust the thickness of the line.

The liner is available from Beauty Bazaar and Couleur Caramel UK and is priced at at £15.50.

Couleur Caramel was launched in France in 2003 by David Riccole and Cédric Ferreol. Based on the ethos of sustainability, Couleur Caramel was created with aim to bring cutting edge technology to organic make-up; at an affordable price! Couleur caramel has recently been introduced to the UK by Beauty Well.
