With the new year upon us we say a fond farewell to the vibrant Radiant Orchid and open our hearts to a warmer, softer hue; Marsala...
Masala enriches our mind, body and soul, exuding confidence and stability. Masala is a subtly seductive shade, one that draws us in to it's embracing warmth
PANTONE 18-1438 Masala
This beautiful, rich, earthy tone make for a stunning contrast to the vibrancy of last years choice (Radiant Orchid).
I am now in my third year of Pantone exploration and I am loving it! It's not just about the make-up but about the exploration of colour; each year I develop a greater understanding of colour and gain more inspiration as an artist.
Find out more about Masala and the previous years winners on the PANTONE website (they have a very handy palette of colour pairings for those of you looking for revamp your interior design schemes or wardrobe in celebration of the new colour).
From a make-up perspective Masala is a flattering shade that would work for most skin tones and can be worked into almost any make-up - day or evening. The burnished undertones can be blended with earthy yellow or greens for a soft day make-up, whilst combining it with shimmering metallic golds makes for a beautiful twist on a smokey eye. For added zing wear with a turquoise or teal for truly eye popping colour.
