From The Vault: W3ll People Realist X

This month I am taking a look back at a translucent powder from Texan based W3ll People.

W3LL People Realist X

Realist X: HD Matt Mineral Setting Powder is a Translucent loose powder that has become a real staple of my make-up kit.

Micro fine, it has an incredibly velvety texture that goes on equally well whether applied with a brush or cotton wool ball. Unlike many loose powders, Realist is really lightweight and doesn't clump or sit heavily on the skin, making it an ideal choice, especially when placing powder half moons under the eyes to catch any fallout from shadow.

One of the most amazing things about Realist, is that it contains just 3 ingredients! One being Serecite, a really fine grained Mica. Mica particles as we know are superb good light reflectors, unfortunately in many products they can be a little large, however because the particles in Realist are so fine, it works really well for setting High Definition broadcast make-ups.

Realist is a big part of my kit to this day. Originally purchased as a cleaner alternative to my previous loose powder love, RCMA's Translucent Powder. I was instantly impressed by how it compared. Super lightweight and incredibly fine, Realist X has been used in all aspects of my work; from broadcast to bridal.

Loose powder is an incredibly important part of any pro kit and although I have a couple of variations from different brands, this is the one I return to time after time. I must admit that in recent months my head has been turned a little by the release of Ilia Beauty's Fade Into You Finishing Powder, but as this has a little more sheen, even when I do get around to purchasing it I know they will have different uses and I will remain loyal to the matter finish of Realist X.

W3LL People (pronounced Well) was established in the US by three passionate individuals; a Make-up Artist, a Dermatologist and a self confessed environmentalist, the aim being to produce a completely toxin and cruelty free range. 1. Hey Chesca
It's a lovely powder. Super light and great on the skin. Doesn't go all cloggy on oily skin either! :)
