Eye Lines

I have to admit I have never been a huge fan of eyeliner pencils, generally choosing a cake or liquid liner for a hard, solid line or an eyeshadow (dampened or otherwise) or gel if I want something a little bit softer. Be they too hard, too soft, too scratchy or just have too much debris on application; on the whole I find liner pencils (natural, organic or otherwise) a little unsatisfactory.

Lavera Trend Organic Soft Eyeliner

One pencil I do love and is a staple in both my pro kit and my own bulging make-up bag, is this eyeliner from Lavera.

The combination of waxes, oils and moisture rich Shea butter make for a pencil that is soft, without drag and comfortable to apply - even to the more delicate and sensitive areas of the eye such as the waterlines. It blends easily and beautifully and, being double ended; with the pencil at one and a handy sponge blender at the other - leave you with no reason not to rock a smudged eye line from time to time!

I find that it doesn't tend to move too much once it has had a chance to sit on the skin and once applied, the lines last reasonably well, although you may find that as with many other eyeliners, the lower waterline needs topping up intermittently. On the skin it is pretty tolerant to water and I have found it stands up well on High Definition - looking neither too hard or distracting.

Trend Eyeliner is available in three colours; a lovely soft, flattering Grey, Brown - which lends a warm sepia tone on blending and a soft, muted Black. Lavera currently have a Golden Brown pencil in their Limited Edition Romantic Moments collection, however I have yet to try this so can't comment on the colour at this moment in time.

Priced at £9.50 they are great value for money and last forever!
