This season metallics are back on the catwalks in a big way and although I love big shimmery eye make-up, sometimes less is most definitely more...
Natural and organic eyeliners aren't known for their high shine, high impact shimmer however you don't need large amounts of glitter particles to stay on trend this autumn. I have put together my top five metallic eyeliner pencils that will add that touch of understated shimmer to any eye make-up.
So, without further ado, here they are, my top five metallic eyeliners...
SANTE Kajal No 1 in Metallic Green
I love this vibrant tone. With a creamy texture it is easy to apply and blend and comes complete with it's own built-in smudger. The pencil is great to wear on its own or worked into a smokey eye. SANTE pencils are free from water and as such have a never ending shelf life so it really is a long lasting pencil - literally!

Jane Iredale Liquid Eyeliner in Silver
Liquid liners make a real statement and this one is no exception. A glamorous silver with a beautiful soft shimmer, this liner looks fantastic on its own or (to be totally on trend this season) with a bright pink lip as seen at the recent Christian Dior show (I suggest Neon Angel by Ilia).

INIKA Organic Mineral Eyeliner in Peacock Blue
One of my favourite blue liners, this is a beautiful light, bright blue with a subtle sheen and with no hint of the 1980's (I remember them well). Richly creamy INIKA liners are so easy to apply and blend or smudge away.
I have featured INIKA eyeliners in a previous top five post, so check it out :)

E.L.F Mineral Eyeliner in Metallic Purple
I love nothing better than including a budget option in my top five posts - just to prove it is possible if nothing else! A creamy crayon liner housed in a twist-up applicator (so no need for a sharpener). Free from parabens, preservatives, chemical dyes and not tested on animals, this is a perfect mineral choice for teenagers.

Couleur Caramel Liquid Eyeliner in Plum
This has to be one of my favourite liquid liners. The beautiful shimmery plum tone makes it ideal for those of you with green eyes (another post on this coming soon). Easy to apply (although I don't recommend using the brush provided), it stays for quite a while and is water based so ideal for those with contact lenses or sensitive eyes (but not if you have a tendency to easily shed a tear..)

Ok. I may just have to sneak another one in here so pretend you can't count...
Jane iredale Mystikol Pencil in Lapis Lazuli
A thick and creamy powder formula that stays put and doesn't crease or smear - despite this it can be blended and smudged on application. Perfect for using as a shadow as well as a liner, the pencil is a lovely deep blue and comes complete with a sandy toned highlighter so you can create a complete look with this one product.
