The use of clever contouring techniques can really make a difference to your features. Strengthened jawbones, straightened noses and sharper cheekbones can all be created with just the application of one or two products.
Contouring requires the use of a shader to add depth and a highlighter to enhance high points, but what do you use? There are many contouring products on the conventional market and sadly very few natural or organic versions but you don't need specific products to chisel your cheekbones. Most cream or powder blushers, concealers or foundations will do the job (I've even used eyeshadow before!) providing, in the case of shader, it isn't too reflective and is at least a couple of shades darker or lighter than your base tone.
To give your bone structure a little more definition, check out my Top Five picks for great products to use to shade...
Dr Hauschka - Teinting Powder
Teinting Powder is actually a 3-toned pressed powder that can be used each in isolation or mixed. I love the darkest tone for contouring cheeks, jaw lines and noses. Sadly this product has now been discontinued but I have my fingers crossed that one day Dr Hauschka will bring it back or, even better, produce the darker tone as a stand alone product!

UNE Beauty - Breezy Cheeks Blush in B11*
A lovely cream blush that works beautifully as a subtle shader. If I am opting for a cream blush I use a cream to contour too and this is a real favourite for me and great on fairer skins as it shades like a naturally occurring shadow (if that makes sense).
*Sadly after writing this post I found out that UNE will no longer be stocked in the UK, so stock up whilst you can!
